“CHANGE THE DATE” IS THE NEW “SAVE THE DATE”

We’re here to help you navigate this crazy time! Here are our stationery and etiquette tips if you are considering postponing your event.

Tip #1

If you don’t have a website, now might be an excellent time to create one. At the moment, things are still very fluid so it’s best to have one central place where all your guests can access any further changes that might arise.

Tip #2

If you are not yet sure if you are postponing, consider reaching out to your guests so they’re not left wondering. We’ve been using the following verbiage and we’ve provided pre-made graphics for you to download for free here.
Family and Friends, We are keeping tabs on the developing health crisis and while our wedding date has not changed, please continue to check our website for further details.

Tip #3

If you have already mailed save the dates or invitations, consider creating a new printed piece that is cohesive with your overall wedding brand to let your guests know about a possible change in date. This design can be another way to share your excitement for your wedding and showcase your personal style!

It’s also perfectly acceptable to send an email updating your guests of the postponement in lieu of a physical card. Ask your stationer if they can create an email graphic cohesive with your wedding stationery.

Tip #4

It’s important to alert your guests as soon as possible! Depending on how close to your date you’re sending out the postponement, your guests will need to call airlines and hotels to adjust travel and lodging plans.

This is a challenging time for all of us. Even though your wedding may end up looking a little different than you imagined, the effort we’re all making to stay home is an ultimate act of love to our community, family, and friends. We will celebrate again soon!
